From April 17 to 19, the 11th professional exhibition was successfully held at the Main Stage in Moscow and the Coffee Tea Cacao Russian Expo 2024 (CTCRE) conference, which brought together more than 9 thousand professionals from the coffee, tea, cocoa and chocolate industries. The event turned out to be a meeting place for more than 160 exhibiting companies, including exporters, importers and manufacturers, who presented their latest products and achievements. Traditionally, special attention was paid to educational platforms, which covered a wide range of issues relevant to business and with an emphasis on new realities. Abouto 200 events: seminars and master classes, round tables and lectures, cuppings and tastings. span>
Significant lectures and master classes organized by leading industry experts took place at the educational venues of the exhibition. Among the most memorable events were the coffee cupping, held jointly with the Embassy of Brazil and the Hummingbird Coffee company, as well as the speech of Ramaz Chanturia, General Director of the Roschaykofe Association. He presented a report on the topic “Tea and coffee market in Russia: main results and trends in 2023”, providing valuable data and analysis of the current state of the industries.
A large number of master classes, useful lectures and product giveaways were organized directly by the exhibitors themselves at the stands of their companies. Exhibitors actively interacted with visitors and provided them with the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of coffee, tea and cocoa.
This year, the companies' stands stood out with their stylish and modern design. Exhibitors have invested significant effort into creating unique and engaging spaces that not only attract the attention of visitors, but also facilitate more effective interaction and knowledge sharing.

As part of CTCRE 2024, coffee and tea championships were held, based on the results of which the roaster of the year, as well as the best baristas and tea masters of Russia were named:< /p>
Roaster of the Year Award is a competitive selection among the best roasters in the country, which took place in 3 stages. 62 companies from all over the country participated in the first stage with 93 lots, 25 companies went to the second stage, and 10 went to the third stage. Participants provided two types of coffee for the Award: a random roast, which the company chooses from its assortment, and a mandatory roast - coffee, provided by SFT Trading. The 10 best roasters who advanced to the third stage roasted coffee from the sponsor Wintergreen green coffee at the training center of SFT Trading on the roaster of the Turkish brand Beska.
The best roaster in Russia (based on the sum of all points) was Rakhmon Michelashvili from the JUICE coffee company.

50 baristas took part in the invited independent latte art championship Insane Latte Art Battle. The champion was Maria Filimonchuk (Moscow, “Coffeemania”). The second place went to Denis Zverev (Moscow, floo coffee), and the third place went to Khozh Bersunkaev (Moscow, “Coffeemania” ").
Tea championships were held at the exhibition site, within which the championship winners were determined Matcha Latte Battleand the National stage of the International Tea Championship Tea Masters Cup 2024 in two categories - Tea Preparation and Tea Tasting.In the championship Matcha Latte Battle 16 tea masters took part. The champion was Andrey Kirillov (Moscow, FACE TO FACE, May Brands). Second place went to Ali Molorov (Moscow, Lovemark).
In the TMC championship in the Tea Preparation category 16 tea masters took part. The winner of the category was Nikolai Sushko (Moscow, “Julius Meinl”). The second place went to Maxim Bevzyuk, and the third place went to Veronica Mozharova.
In the TMC championship in the Tea Tasting category 56 tea masters took part. The winner was Maya Mikhailova (Moscow, MAY). Second place went to Georgy Vanadze (Ufa, H2O COMPANY), third place went to Vasily Tsvetkov (Moscow, DoubleB)
Also within the framework of the exhibition, the first Russian championship for the preparation of cocoa-based drinks was held -Chocolate Battle 2024.
A total of 16 baristas from 10 cities of the country took part in the competition;
The champion was Alexey Grigoriev (Moscow, MK GROUP) . Second place went to Marina Obinyakina (Sochi, Ritual Cacao).
___On April 17, in a solemn ceremony, the names of representatives of the coffee and tea professional community of Russia who were awarded the honorary title were announced "Person of the Year" 2023, which 2008 is awarded annually by the magazine “Coffee and Tea in Russia”:
In the coffee industry, the title of “Person of the Year” in 2023 was awarded to Vladimir Lisovoy for his extensive contribution to the development of the Barista of the Year Championship at the regional and national level. Vladimir not only judged the competition, but also created an atmosphere of inspiration and competitive spirit among the participants. His work in conducting calibrations, recruiting judges and coordinating the entire process was highly praised by professionals.
In the tea industry, the title of “Person of the Year” in 2023 was awarded to Natalia Lelikova for the creation of the Molecular Circle of Tea Aromas, the publication of the Aroma.Tea.ka tea tester Notebook and the development of Oolong Aromatic Kits. Her work on tea aroma analysis, her passion for finding new solutions and unexplored paths in the world of tea have earned great recognition.
Also on the first day of the exhibition, the results of the Award were announced "Project of the Year". According to the results of the voting of the competition commission, the winners of the Prize were:

On April 18, the winners of the annual Award were awarded "Packaging of the Year", established by the magazine "Coffee and Tea in Russia", in 4 categories: -

- The best packagings for chocolate are The Fruit and namedu;
- The best packaging for tea is White Palisade.
